It happens to everyone - you get a phone call from an acquaintance on Friday afternoon, asking you to come out to a bar and hang out. Even though you’ve never been there you figure it’ll be a good time - talk to some people, shoot some pool, hang out for a bit after a long week. Everyone enjoys hanging out at a bar, right? All seems good as you walk up to the door - there’s some music playing, the parking lot’s half full and all seems right with the world. Until you walk in and see that it’s a dreaded “three tap bar.” That’s right, three taps - Budweiser, Bud Light and “other.” A very significant part of the time it ends up that the “other beer” is this one - Miller Lite. And really, it’s better than the other two choices. It’s not terribly offensive and actually has a (very slight) flavor to it, plus not much in the way of an aftertaste. Really, if you’re just going to sit around and drink for a long time, this is probably the best way to do it - go ahead and order yourself a couple of nice beers at first, but after the first two or three “high-class” beers it begins to be silly to continue drinking it. At that point it’s really quantity over quality. Obviously if you can go ahead and get something better than do it, but if you’re stuck in a dive bar and need a drink - this is much better than the alternative.

Miller Lite makes me think of puke-stained college carpets. Coors Light is the way to go.

Hmm i’ve never had this before but i was interested to hear that you would change beers halfway through a night. I always stick to the same beer throughout the whole night, its just the way its done….
Well maybe you could try some Australian beers although im not sure any of your stores would stock them. If you can get your hands on some i’d try Crown Lager, Coopers Pale Ale or Carlton Draught.

I cannot believe that you gave this dreck the same rating as Bass Ale. While Bass is not a premium ale in my opinion, it far outshines this Miller crap from my hometown you choose sample.

One of the most ironic commercial series I remember is the “Can’t taste my beer” ads. The solution? Miller Lite, a flavorless macrobrew designed for beer drinkers that don’t like beer.
Yet you give it a “(very slight) flavor” comment. I’d never noticed it had a flavor; well tasted!

It is a damn good beer for drinking for a long period of time. I would rather have guinness or something close to it but Miller Lite is the drink all day beer. Keep drinking Dann, you make me proud to be a beer drinker!
