Guinness Draught really is a flavorless beer, and has effectively become a BMC (BMCY in Mid-Atlantic... Y is for Yuengling) alternative like Stella Artois, Heinekin, etc. For a nitro-draught stout like Guinness, Young's has much better offering. Their Oatmeal Stout and Double Chocolate Stout have immensely better flavor. That's not to say Guinness has nothing to offer. Their classic Extra Stout (the one in the smaller bottles without any nitro "widgets") has a great flavor, and their Foreign Extra Stout, if you can get it, is even better. That's all that it has going for it. Once you've had a "real" stout, there's simply no going back to Guinny. It's the Stout Drinker's equivalent of Hieney. The export version is tolerable...but since they got swallowed up by the massive international beer conglomeration, the draught stuff has really been reduced to BMC status.
