Ok - that’s it. I’m done with you. I read with dismay your “review” of Guinness earlier, figuring you for a neophyte. Now, with this description of Newcastle and you average rating thereof, I will not return to this page. You know nothing of your subject.

Glad to hear it, Jim. Take care, don’t let the door hit you on your way out. Apparently I’m an idiot. I said as much earlier on - but perhaps it would have been nice to explain why I’m an idiot, rather than just giving a blanket statement. But then again, everyone’s an idiot on this here Internets.

It’s a shame that someone is criticized for their own opinion posed on their blog. Though I may not agree with your tastes (as shown in another post for a different beer) I wouldn’t put down your tastes because why? That’s why they make different kinds of beer! Because we all have different tastes! I may not agree with your tastes in all cases but its awesome that you are doing this and keep up the good work mate!

Don’t fret about what the other Jim said: I agree with you. Having tasted dozens of brown ales, Newcastle is only average at best. It has a metallic taste to it that really puts me off.
Samuel Smith, on the other hand… now THAT’S a brown ale! And finally they’re going to stop using clear bottles, which skunk beers faster than you can say “Take it out of the light!”
