This is another one of the beers I brought back from Maryland - brewed in Harrisburg, PA by the Trogner brothers, it’s a nice, sweet pale ale. It pours out with a very enticing yellow-brown color and a long-lasting medium head. While they claim it’s generously hopped, I’m really missing most of that when drinking it. Perhaps it’s because I’ve had this bottle sitting around for nearly a year and the hops have mellowed out a bit, but I find it hard to believe it would be anywhere near the 45 BU that they claim on the website. There’s a lot of grapefruit character to it, and it’s quite a lot sweeter than how I normally think of “American Pale Ales.” Nevertheless, I would buy this again if I had a chance. I really wish I could get some of their Nugget Nectar that should be coming out next month, as I imagine it would be much like this but with an actual aggressive hop flavor.
