It’s like I’m drinking in the essence of the Road Hole on the Old Course out at the links. Seriously, it’s a pretty good bitter. Lots of nutty flavor with some caramel hints, hazy amber color and a light-brown head when poured from a bottle. The hops sit perfectly in this beer - nice and subtle but prominent enough to tweak your taste buds a little bit.
I really only bought this beer because of it’s usage of the St. Andrews name, but I’m glad I did. I’ll be sure to pick up some more in the future when I get back to drinking like a normal person.
