This one was going to be an interesting one for me. I generally love India Pale Ales and can take or leave Browns. I’ve really enjoyed almost all of the Dogfish Head beers that I”ve had in the past, though, so I was looking forward to this one quite a bit.

What came out of the bottle was a beautifully dark chocolate/copper ale with a huge beige head that quickly settled down to a light spread on the top of the beer. The smell coming off of the beer almost resembled a fine port rather than a beer - deep and smokey with a hint of spice. And the taste - pretty damn wonderful. There’s the brown ale sweetness, a darker maltiness, hints of coffee and chocolate and then the hops shining through the whole of the beer. This is a beer that does something different (combining two rather different beer styles) and does it very well. It has a full mouthfeel and a very aromatic aftertaste. I really like this beer - hopefully I can find it somewhere closer to home than Tampa in the future. Lakefront Organic ESB

I know that the whole organic movement had come to craft beer in the past few years, but this is the first time I’ve tried one. On the whole it’s a reasonably good ESB - good golden-brown color, small off-white head that lingers for quite a while and a boquet full of hops. Those hops show up again on the first sip - right up front and then again towards the end of the sip. Lots of malty flavor with some sweetness and even a little bit of fruit (apple?) that shows up at the end.

As for the organic nature of it - I can’t tell a damn thing one way or the other. But I suppose it’s good for me, or good for the environment, or good for somebody’s pocketbook. I guess I can get away with drinking a lot of it by just claiming I was helping out America, right?

On a completely unrelated note, I’m still loving the hell out of The Hold Steady. movie animal sex free galleryanime movie porn freefree 89 blowjob movie89 free blowjob moviemovies free adult broadbandand job video oral movies sex throat free and brutalnude celebrity movie free clipporn couple free movies Mapporn lter asstrporn astrailianporno chree asu leaderporn at workathena pornporn athletic boyporn videos athleticporn blog atk Map
