Writing about beer is always easier when you’re actually drinking a beer - so now that I have some spare time to catch up I figured I’d crack one open and get to work. I had never tried Eku Pilsner before - in fact, I’d never seen anything from this company, or at least never really noticed. I have to say it’s a pretty tasty beer overall, with more flavor than I was expecting. Grassy/hoppy smell and a very light golden color - it almost looks like an American macrobrew. But it does taste quite a lot better than that - the grassy flavor does come through again, but there’s also a lingering bitterness that’s really refreshing.
