I’ve heard enough about this beer that I had to pick it up once I had the chance at the store. It pours out dark as sin into an imperial pint glass with a nice big brownish head sitting on top. The chocolate is strong in the first smell, along with some sweetness. And it’s worthy of all the praise. Coffee, chocolate, hops and malt all combine with a nice thick mouthfeel to make a wonderfully approchable stout. It tastes a lot like high-quality baking chocolate - which isn’t a bad thing at all. The only thing I might change is the strong lingering aftertaste - it really encourages you to keep drinking.
