This one was really disgusting. Sweet malt and corn and very little else to say about it. At least I walked away doubling my money at poker - the beer was the low point of the night. I do like picking up some swill like this every now and then to compare it to what other beers I’ve been drinking - the difference between this and something good is wider in my mind (and taste) these days than it ever has been. Not to say that there’s nothing cheap that’s good - just very few things. I generally like what Abita puts out, but this one is just far too sweet for me. Nice golden color but after that there’s not much that’s really good about it. Smells malty and a little skunky. The malt overpowers the other flavors in the taste as well - medium mouthfeel and there’s a dryness at the end that’s rather unpleasant.
