I generally like American Pale Ales. This is an American Pale Ale. I do like it, but it’s just not that special of a pale ale. It’s got a nice reddish golden color to it with a head that quickly becomes lacy around the glass. There’s not that much in the scent and that’s really the problem - I’m just used to American Pale Ales that are a lot stronger, hop-wise. There’s a lot of hops at first but it really doesn’t deliver past the first few seconds. Unlike most pale ales, this one leaves a sort of nasty taste in the mouth at the end.
