I have to admit, I was curious as to how this would taste. Amber Bock’s not really a bad beer in any way, so I was thinking that maybe this wouldn’t be that bad. I was terribly, terribly wrong. I think this might be even worse than Michelob Ultra - at least there you know you’ll be getting very little taste to begin with. This gives you the same base “no taste” beer but then throws some “amber” flavor on top of it to make it painful to drink. Sweetness is the main flavor here - almost like a malt liquor. This one came out of the bottle quite a bit darker than I had expected. Not that it was a bad thing, really, it was just surprising. There’s a lot of maltiness in this beer and an interesting but eventually pleasing mix of hops. They just recently started carrying Full Sail’s line of beers down here in Florida and so far I’ve been pretty happy with them.
