I bought this on a whim a couple of weeks ago after taking a certification exam down near the liquor store. It was relatively cheap (6 bucks for 6 pint bottles) and new to me so I figured it was a grand idea. I came home, drank most of them and forgot to write about ‘em (hey, I was celebrating.. or something). This one was still peeking at me from the beer fridge, though, so I might as well drink it and write it up.

It’s drinkable, I’ll give it that. There’s nothing really unpleasant about the beer, but then again, nothing really that stands out in any way. It’s beer, plain and simple, without much in the way of deep flavors or whatnot. This is another beer from the roommate’s softball leftovers…

Lots of sweetness with a sprinkling of hops, it’s not a bad example of the style - I’m just not that big a fan of the style I guess. When I drink a beer I like to taste beer and too much sugar just makes me think I’m drinking something more like a soda than a beer. It does go down smooth, I’ll give it that much. And like many beers I’ve tried and not liked at first, it’s growing on me as I drink it.
