Magic Hat Fat Angel Ale
#110
Brewery: Magic Hat Brewing Company
Beer: Fat Angel Ale
Location: Home

Sticking my nose right up next to the head of this beer and inhaling deeply brought one immediate thought to my head - pina colada. Why a pale ale is smelling like pina colada, I have no idea - but it was. Now that the head’s gone and I’ve taken a couple of mouthfuls of the beer that smell seems to have disappeared as well. Very odd - I have no idea where that came from.
The beer itself is nice-looking: medium-amber color with a big (colada) head that went away as soon as I started drinking it. Some caramel flavors along with a nice, average amount of hops. It’s a little sweeter than I was expecting when I poured it out - and I’m generally not that much of a fan of the sweeter beers. But this one seems to work pretty well. Everything blends together to make a refreshing, tasty beer that would be great at a summer BBQ.mp3 encoding 320kchord ringtones 32 polyphonicmg vs mg levitra 20 10ringtones 3210 composergambling pay 900kyocera 3225 ringtonebuner mp3 cd acustica3585i alltel ringtone Maptushy moviesxnxx movies freeampland movies freefree ava movies devinemovies bimovie cops bustyceleb movies nude11 movie dbz Mapphone 1.99 nextel ringtone120e motorola ringtone rtttl freeringtone sir mix alotaddams family ringtones nokia 7610aktiv ringtone kyoceraetherington agnes queenskx1 alltel ringtone free kyoceraringtone keys alicia sprint Mapsoftware 8700c ringtonehz ringtone 16000agarwal ringtones abhishekerror 910 ringtonesringtone 270c timeport motorolamp3 ringtones 300311 mono ringtonesringtone 3245 kyocera Map

Where did you find Magic Hat? I wasn’t aware they were distributed in Florida. I had several of their brews when I was in Vermont many years ago for a wedding and really liked them but that was before I got into craft beer. I am curious how well I would like them now.

I picked up a few bottles of Magic Hat when I took my trip up north. I’ve never seen it down here, either - and it’s too bad. My girlfriend loved the #9 and I’m a fan of quite a few of their beers, but I imagine the closest place you could get them is probably north of Maryland.

Hi Dann,
Where do you find some of your more obscure beer at? (I’m in Sarasota/Bradenton)

Truthfully, I’ve picked up a lot of beer on out-of-state trips to the northeast. I went last year and brought back 9 six-packs and some singles and went a couple of months ago and brought back 5 or 6 six-packs worth of singles.
Around here you really have to look, but the best place in town for buying beer is probably Whole Foods downtown. The bigger ABC liquor stores do a pretty good job as well. If you feel like driving, there are a couple of good stores in Tampa - Total Wine on Dale Mabry and World of Beer just over the bridge in Clearwater. They both sell lots of various singles, but there’s lots of beer that you just can’t buy around here, unfortunately.
Then again, there’s always the Cock and Bull pub if you feel like going out for a beer that you can’t find anywhere else. Let me know if you know of any other good places to buy beer around here - I live in the SRQ myself and if I can get away with not having to drive to Tampa I’m all for it.
